Elena Chisholm

Living in Bradford West Gwillimbury since 1974.  The Downsview area in Toronto is where Elena grew up.  In the 80′s and 90′s, I was a single mother for many years which made me the strong person I am today.  Elena has worked in Municipal Government for over 20 years now.

With her learning experience, came the ambition and enthusiasm which has created the person that she is today.

Elena’s life has revolved around music, for she has the passion for music, and the love for life.   Life brings us challenges, which one can learn from, and take those experiences with them.

Elena is proud to say that today, she is the President of EPC Management & Entertainment for over 20 years; and Co-owner of Creative Gal Productions since 2012, with the very talented partner Rosemarie Garrity. It’s taken many years of experience to establish a respectful reputation, to succeed in the Entertainment business.

One of my passions is dancing, and in my early 30’s Elena started her career as a business woman by teaching Country Line Dancing.  She took the initiative of being the first to introduce Country Line Dancing within the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury Recreational Programs, and in East Gwillimbury Recreational Programs. Country Line Dancing was very popular in those years, that she created a group named “The Classy Stompets”, with T-shirts and all. They performed demonstrations for corporate events, personal venues, Festivals, Flea Markets, etc.

In 1996 was the beginning of a different era of entertainment for Elena.  Amongst her many skills, she Promoted and Managed Tribute Artists, Stage Manager, Disk Jockey, Booking and Producing Shows, created website, made costumes, and produced in the Recording studio. She went on tour with different entertainers. On many occasions dressing for the occasion would entail by wearing the appropriate costumes, as part of the persona.  Traveled within Canada and the USA.

Elena has had privilege of working with the Brampton Symphony at the Rose Theatre on occasions, with an 18, 45 and 80 piece Orchestra. To help promote the annual Brampton Legendary Classic Cars in July, she would attend the Council meetings in Brampton.

Elena’s passion for Antique and Classic Cars, has helped in many ways of the business. Belonging to the Antique Classic Car Club of Canada, the Brampton Region, she had the opportunity to conduct many functions for them.

In the many ventures in Canada and USA, Elena attended many Elvis Competitions at different venues, and on occasion was asked to Judge the competition. Most recent Judging was the Elvis Collingwood Festival, 2012.

Elena’s involvement in the entertainment field is versatile, for she promotes many talented Artists that I come across her path and searches for new Talent.

Summary:
In the entertainment business, there is a wide variety of music, entertainers, and audiences. Elena’s professionalism, with past experiences, she has  been able to recognize the proper showcase of entertainers for many venues.  She has experience working in Arenas, Convention Centres, Theatres, Banquet Halls, Churches, Weddings, and Festivals.

Achievements:
Producer, Promoter, Manager, DJ, Sound, a Dance Instructor and Event Coordinator. Other achievements with recognition and nomination include “Woman of Year”, and “The Good Neighbours Award” for my volunteer work in fund raising within the community for various charities and organizations. One of which best know is her 5 years help raised funds for the Children’s’ Wish Foundation, volunteering my time at the CHFI Oldies Dances.

Elena enjoys entertainment, for her sincere appreciation comes from the smiles of the audience, by bringing them happiness by the memories, if only for a short time.

Great Entertainment Begins With Creative Thinking.
